Multiples

A multiple of a number is product of that number and a whole number.

Let's examine the multiples of 3:

Least Common Multiple (LCM)

The Least Common Multiple (LCM) is the smallest nonzero multiple shared by two or more numbers.

Let's try to find the LCM of "3" and "6":

Multiples of 3: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15…

Multiples of 6: 6, 12, 18, 24, 30…

The LCM of 3 and 6 is “6”.
