Associative Property of Addition

This property states that when performing addition, how numbers are grouped will not change the resulting sum.

Take the expression below:

(2 + 2) + (3 + 3) = 10

Moving the parentheses will not change the final answer, according to the Associative Property of Addition.

2 + (2 + 3) + 3 = 10

(2 + 2 + 3) + 3 = 10
