Least Common Denominator (LCD)

The Least Common Denominator (LCD) of two or more fractions is the LCM of the denominators.

Let's find the LCD of the two fractions below:

First, we write the prime factorizations for the denominators. The LCD is then found by multiplying the two factorizations.
